Antique Italian Olive Wood & Inlaid Lady Sorrento Ware Box with Lock c1920 (Code 2503)

Description

An early 20th century Italian olive wood veneer and inlaid box.  Quite a large example for Sorrento ware and relatively flat with a plain interior.  The lid is inlaid with a female figure with arms out and floral elements.  It would appear to be of 1920's period and has a working brass lock.  The base is painted black which appears original.

Condition

Good for period, minor wear, scratches, nicks and knocks in keeping with age.  Lock working, hinge good.
