Description
A Victorian period marquetry inlaid Tunbridge ware large pin cushion. It is of sarcophagus shape typical of items from the early to mid Victorian period and this item would date around 1860. The fabric top appears original which is a nice touch. The feet and base covering are also original. There are no makers marks which is expected for this type of item as they were rarely marked. A nice example in pretty original condition.
Condition
Minor wear as expected, some movement in corner joints. No significant losses nor repairs. Fabric worn and faded but appears original.
