Vintage Gilerco 9ct Gold 1/5 Metal Core & Ruby Heavy Bangle / Bracelet c.1960 (Code A1111)

Description

A vintage 9ct gold metal core Gilerco bangle.  The front is engraved with floral detail and a decorative border and the centres of the flowers are set with rubies.  This is a metal core bangle which means it has a very thick layer of gold over a base metal interior.  The extra thick gold means these items last far longer than rolled gold whilst not being as expensive as solid gold. This bangle is of hinged form with a push clasp fastening and has a safety chain.   It is marked inside for the maker and the gold content and dates to the 1960's.
