Antique Chinese Late Ming Period Stoneware Storage Jar with Grey/Green Design (Code 1052)

A late Ming period Chinese stoneware small glazed jar.  The jar has a an off white ground and the simple stroke work decoration is in a green/grey tone.  It is a provincial piece and would have been used for food storage and likely originally had a lid.  No makers marks.

 

Various firing flaws as typical for these items including an extra strap of clay to the base.  Iron rust spots around the body under glaze from contamination during production.  All over crazing, rough foot rim from production.
