Description

A Japanese porcelain covered jar in the Kutani style.  It is decorated with a transfer line design and over painted with the colours and detail.  There are two cranes in flight and various floral and foliate forms.  The jar would had been made for export and the scenery has definite European influence.  It would date to the early years of the 20th century and is likely pre WW1.  No makers marks which is common for such pieces.  Quite a sturdy porcelain body.

Condition

Some period wear but nothing significant.  Minor kiln dust and a few tiny glaze imperfections from production.
