Description

A Doulton Lambeth stoneware twin colour glazed jug dating around 1900 to the late Victorian or Edwardian period.  The traditional style jugs were made by Doulton in many forms and were popular for many years as decorative items, or for use.

The jug is of stoneware body and has a tan glaze to the lower section and a brown glaze above.  The jug has decorative applique in the form of stylised flowers.  The spout is of pinched form and the applied handle has ribbed detail and a decorative detail at the tail.

To the underside is the Doulton impressed mark shown in the images for you.


Condition

Generally good and presenting well as can be seen in the images.  Some minor scuffs to the high points around the body.  Slight losses to the beaded band (probably from production).  Minor glaze and firing flaws as typical for these items.
