Description

An Edwardian period hip flask with a glass body and silver mounts.  It is by the noted silversmiths of James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield, and it has a Sheffield hallmark for 1910.  The cap is a bayonet twist style with a cork liner and partial gilding.  It has a good strong hinge and both the cap and cup are hallmarked.  The glass is hand blown.

 

Condition

Indent to cap leaving a flat spot visible in the images.  Minor wear to the silver, one tiny indent to the cup side.  Hallmarks nicely visible, cap working well.  Minor scuffing to the glass where the cup goes over.
