Description

A commemorative glass made by Stevens & Williams of Stourbridge for the coronation of King Edward VIII.  The glass encloses a silver coin in the knop which has the date of 1937, along with a hallmark and the King's head to the obverse.  This glass was made for Plummer Ltd of New York (the prestigious retailer) and is from a limited edition run of just 1000 pieces.  The details of this are etched to the base of the base of the glass.

At time of writing we have managed to acquire five examples, each is numbered for it's limited edition position - please note each of the glasses has a different number of course!  The glass is perhaps just large enough for wine, but being somewhat short would probably be better for port or liqueurs should you wish to use it.  A rare collectable glass.
