Description
A very sweet small Cairo ware brass pestle and mortar with copper and silver inlay. It is in the traditional style and the base is of heavy section to aid stability. As it is quite small it would likely be used for peppercorns, salt and other small items. Date wise it is likely inter war or mid century in period. Marked LNS to the underside.
Condition
Normal wear and aging, minor knocks around the base. End of pestle not particularly well finished off (from production).
