Description

An Indian silver small rectangular form trinket dish in the Lucknow style. It has a central reserve and surrounding it are native animals and trees over the stippled ground. The central reserve is etched with the name 'Miss V T Smith'. The rim is decorated with scroll forms and crosshatching. There are no marks, but it tests as high grade silver and is likely Sterling level. Lucknow, India c1890-1910.


Condition

Minor wear and some polishing wear to the high points of the animals, but generally very good as can be seen in the images.
