Antique 18ct Gold & Ruby Set Gypsy Starburst Band Ring Size UK L1/2 (Code A1007)

Description

An antique 18ct gold ring with a ruby set in a gypsy style mount.  The ring is typical of examples made in the late 19th and early 20th century and it likely dates around 1910.  It has a partial hallmark inside the band which reads IB 18.  The character after 18 is rubbed.   The ruby is a natural mined example approx 2.8mm round facet cut.
