Description

A brass bell dating to the Edwardian or early 20th century period.  It is set in gimbal style with a wheel which can be manually rotated to ring the bell, or have a string fitted in the groove to act as a pull cord.  It will work mounted on a counter top, or can be wall mounted.  It comes on a black wooden block with holes for mounting.

This type of bell was used in hotels, lobbies etc for service, or could also be used at a doorway with pull cord.  It has a good loud ring and would make a fine addition to a study or similar.

Condition
