Antique Sterling Silver Sweet Dish - John Rodgers Sheffield 1911 (Code 2322)

Description

An antique silver decorative dish with Sheffield hallmark for 1911.  It is marked for John Rodgers & Co of Sheffield and also has a cross and star mark with the hallmark.  To the underside are further marks specifying the size and other hand scribed marks.  It has a decorative wave design to the body and a ribbed rim.  It was probably intended for sweets or nuts etc and would also be suitable for serving small items at the dinner table.

Condition

Nicely polished, minor period wear as expected, one slight indent.  Overall good for period and a nice decorative piece.
