Lincoln Cathedral 900th Anniversary Silver Goblet - Limited Edition, Boxed (Code 2712)

Description

A solid silver goblet made to commemorate the 900th year of Lincoln cathedral.  It was made by AE Jones and has the Birmingham hallmark for 1971.  It comes with the original box although the certificate is not present.  The goblets were numbered from 1072 to 1972 and this is number 1410 which is stamped to the base.

The goblet is based on the Bishop Gravesend chalice found in his grave in the Cathedral.

Condition

Goblet in very good order with minimal wear.  Box with normal period wear and ageing.
