A Georgian English Lead Glass Wine Goblet with DSOT Opaque Twist Stem c1765 (Code 7493)
An 18th century English lead glass goblet with a double series opaque twist stem. The stem has a central gauze flanked by an outer pair of cables in corkscrew form. It dates circa 1765 during the early reign of George III. Goblets are far scarcer than wine glasses from the period which had very small capacity during this time. As with sweetmeat glasses goblets also tended to be made from the best quality glass of the period, as with this example.
Very good for period with minor wear.
