An antique Wedgwood green jasper ware plaque dating around the turn of the 19th century circa 1900. The plaque features a Grecian style maiden in diaphanous attire playing a lute on her knee - emblematic of music.
The plaque is of oval, slightly convex form and is of green jasper dip production. These plaques were produced for decoration and also sometimes set into furniture and other decorative objects.
To the reverse the plaque is impressed Wedgwood England.
Generally very good for period, minor wear, no significant faults.
