An Antique Edwardian Mahogany & Boxwood Strung Shield Shape Dresser Mirror (Code 1413)
An Edwardian shield shaped mahogany tilting mirror. It has quite an elegant thin frame profile as was the preferred style in the Edwardian period. The mirror face has boxwood stringing to the edge and the stand has shallow cut grooves which follow the profile. The original brass thumb screws are present for tensioning so the mirror can be kept at the angle you prefer. This type of mirror was generally used on a dresser or in the bathroom/washroom, but can of course be used anywhere you like. It is also quite light for its size so is easily moved around.
Normal wear and aging, some scratches to the wood backing of the mirror. A nice example of it's type, ready to use.
