Antique Anglo-Indian Silver Plated Vesta Case with Cartouche and Mughal Mark (Code 0986)
A late 19th Anglo-Indian silver plated vesta case. It is quite heavy for it's size and has a scrolled design set more deeply than typical for English examples of the period. It certainly follows the English design style and has a sprung lid which is still quite stiff despite the age. There is a looped hanger and two vacant cartouches to the body along with the striker to the base. There is a stamped Mughal type character to the inner rim.

Generally good for period with typical age related wear and minor losses to the silver plated in parts through cleaning over the years.
