Antique Arts & Crafts Cast Sterling Silver Nurses Buckle Liver Bird & Green Man (Code 2273)

  • £15999

Description

A fine solid silver nurses buckle in the Arts & Crafts taste.  It dates to 1900 in the final year of Queen Victoria's reign and has a Birmingham hallmark.  The buckle is cast and features liver birds and 'green man' faces.  The makers mark is probably for Abraham Meyer Blanckensee, and is a little mis-struck as you can see.  A great subject and lovely buckle.
