Antique Aynsley China Hand Painted Scottish Landscape Loch Lubnaig Tazza c1910 (2900)

  • £14500

An early 20th century fine quality Aynsley china tazza hand painted with a Scottish landscape scene of Loch Lubnaig.  The loch is situated in the Scottish Highlands near Callander.

The tazza is of fluted form and has extensive gilt detail.  There are raised white enamel 'jewels' around the top and the foot.

The scene is initialled RGK for artist RG Keeling who worked at Aynsley during the early 20th century.  It dates around 1910.

Very good for period, a small scratch to the left of the boat where the far shore meets the bushes which shows white.  Minor flaws in the enamel dots which appear to be from production.  A surface hair line to the top of the foot which has darkened, does not appear to penetrate to the underside.  Fine crazing in places.
