Antique Bohemian Soda Glass Wine Goblet with Etched Bowl and Folded Foot (Code 0833)
A large 18th century Bohemian wine goblet dating around 1770-90. It has a conical bowl with rounded off base. The bowl also has panel moulding and decorative etching around the top. The stem is of hollow Silesian form and the foot is conical and folded with a rough snapped pontil. It is made from soda glass and is finer walled and perhaps more elegant than English glass of the period. This example has a large capacity bowl in keeping with the size we use today so can also be (carefully) used if desired.
Very good for period, minor wear. Tiny air bubble inclusions as normal for soda glass of this period.
