Antique Chinese Late Ming Period Stoneware Storage Jar with Brush Stroke Design (Code 1051)
A late Ming period Chinese stoneware glazed jar. The jar has a light grey ground and the simple stroke work decoration is in a blue/grey tone. It is a provincial piece and would have been used for food storage and likely originally had a lid. No makers marks.
Various firing flaws as typical for these items. Rough foot rim which again appears from firing. Hairline to rim and also some hairlines to the body.
