Description

A George V period early 20th century fruit knife.  It is in the shape of a small pocket knife and these were used for peeling and paring fruit.  It has a silver blade which has chased detailing and the handle is in mother of pearl.  The knife spine running through the handle has engine turned detail which is a nice touch.  The hallmark to the blade is for Sheffield 1918 and the makers mark is for Thomas Marples, a specialist maker of these items.

Condition

Some scratches to the end of the blade and a slight bit of deformation to the tip. Folding mechanism working fine with the hinge effect still nice and firm.
