Antique Georgian Baluster Wine Glass with Hollow Stem and Folded Foot c1735 (Code 0055)

An early 18th century baluster wine glass dating around 1730-40. It has a bell bowl with hollow blown base and hollow blown stem. The foot is conical, has a folded rim and the pontil is rough snapped to the underside. It is produced in soda glass, but the design is very English, so it may well be an English rather than continental example.

Typical tiny air bubbles in the material. Some fine trails of glass to the bowl (from production). Some scratches and age related wear but generally minor. There are 'gaps' in the glass join between the foot and stem (from production).
