Antique Georgian DIamond Cut Stem Wine Glass with OXO Etched Band (Code 0356)
A late 18th century Georgian period wine glass with a diamond cut stem. These examples with tall stems are generally thought to have been produced around 1780-90. The material is English lead glass, and the upper bowl has a decorative band of the 'oxo' design. The foot is very broad and conical, and the pontil is rough snapped.
Minor period wear. Some very minor inclusions, mostly to the foot and less than average for the period. Foot is somewhat out of round.
