Antique Sterling Silver Fancy Fetter Link Albert Pocket Watch Chain & Fob Medal (Code A418)
An antique solid silver pocket watch chain in a fancy fetter link with twisted ends to the links. It has a single T bar, a spring hook and a later silver fob medal. The T bar appears to have a hallmark which is too small and poorly struck to be read. The links are stamped with the lion for English Sterling silver. The medal is of shield form and has engraving to the front, possibly SS. The reverse is engraved T.S.C.L. with the date of 1923. The fob medal also has a hallmark for Birmingham 1923 and the makers mark probably for William Dingley of the jewellery quarter in Birmingham.
A nice example of a fancy fetter chain.
Overall Length excl Fob Medal : 34 cm
Width : 20 mm (Fob medal)
Weight: 30.24 grams (before packing)
