Description

An early 20th century sterling silver case for full sized sovereigns.  It is of squared form and has some engine turned lines across the front and back in a diagonal pattern.  To the front there is a vacant cartouche of circular form.  The press button opens the case to reveal a standard sprung sovereign holder.  To the inside of the case is the silver hallmark from the Birmingham assay office and dated for 1914.  The makers mark is for the Boots Pure Drug Company which are of course still around today (just known as Boots).  It has a suspension ring to the top. 
 
 
 

Condition

Does have some dents to the corners particularly at the top.  Mechanism and opening working fine.
