Description

A very attractive Edwardian period trinket or jewel box.  It is of round form with tripod legs.  Inside the box it is lined with purple velvet and originally these were used to store precious trinkets, pieces of jewellery etc.  The top is engraved with flowers and two butterflies.  It has a London hallmark with date letter for 1909 and the makers mark is for William Comyns & Sons, a notable maker of the period.  
 
 
 

Condition

Very good for period with minor wear.  One very small indent to the edge of the lid.  Interior also in good order.
