Antique Khmer Cambodian Cast Bronze Figure Statue of Uma Goddess of the Mountains (Code 0433)
An interesting cast bronze figure which appears to be a depiction of the goddess Uma (Lady of the Mountains). She is modelled standing with arms held out and wearing a skirt and elaborate neck piece. It has a brown patination and stands on a plinth type base of a stylised flower. There are no artist or foundry marks, but these items are usually associated with Khmer production in Cambodia and likely late 19th century in period.
Generally good for period with minor wear and slight rubbing of the patination on the nose. The casting of the base is somewhat rough as can be seen in the image. The figure also reclines a little from the upright (see the side on image), this appears to be from production.
