Antique Victorian Heavy Lacquered Brass Footman Trivet with Pierced Top (Code 2211)
A 19th century Victorian period heavy plate and cast brass footman. Thick top plate with pierced work and further pierced work to the skirts. Cast legs with voluptuous form to the front. Bolted construction and the bolts all still appear to be original. The handles are of scroll design with a rotating outer brass pipe. A sturdy and well made example and very heavy at over 7kg.
Good for period, some patina developing under the lacquer on the top and handles etc. No significant damage.
