Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Half Sovereign & Stamp Case Birmingham 1892 (Code A934)
An antique Victorian period sterling silver half sovereign case. It has a suspension loop and press button opening to reveal the spring chamber which is designed to fit half sovereigns. The opposite side of the lid has an area for stamps. The interior is gilded. The exterior is chased with a foliage design and there are cursive initials to the central cartouche, possibly JE or similar. The hallmark is a little rubbed but can still be made out as being for Birmingham 1892. The maker's mark is for Hilliard & Thomason.

Condition: Some normal period wear and rubbing of the hallmark. Small repairs in three corners shown in the images for you. Some wear to the gilt interior.
