Antique Qianlong /Jiaqing Chinese Porcelain Famille Rose Hand Painted Dish (Code 0897)
A late 18th or early 19th century Chinese porcelain hand painted shaped dish in the famille rose pallette. It is of ovoid form with protrusions around the rim and a decorative border with gilt. It is hand painted with floral motifs over the plain white ground. The body is porcelain and quite thick with a yellow tint to the translucency. There are no character or reign marks and the ground is a little rippled as often found with pieces from this period.
Normal period wear, slight losses to enamels and gilt rubbing. Slight production flaws as usual with some small glaze pops. Some discolouration to the underside through aging.
