Description
A fabulous Wedgwood dessert service consisting of 12 plates and 4 tazza. The central sections are all individually hand painted with summer and winter scenes of the British countryside. The borders are cobalt blue with elaborate gilt patterns. They have the Wedgwood printed Portland Vase mark which was used on porcelain from 1878 to 1891 and makes the set late Victorian in period. At this time it was very uncommon for the artists to be allowed to sign their work, and this is the case with this set.

Condition
Overall remarkably good for period and type. Some light marks to the gilt in places. Minimal signs of wear to the decoration. One tazza with a 7mm flat flake chip to the underside of the foot rim.
