George III Antique Etched Glass Tea Mixing Bowl from a Caddy - Bow & Swag c1790 (Code 2698)
A rare original George III period tea mixing bowl, originally from a tea caddy. It is engraved with a bow and cross hatched swag design and dates around 1790. It features an applied disc foot with ground and polished pontil scar and is made from English lead glass. The size is quite substantial so would have been from quite a large tea caddy.
Original examples such as this are now very difficult to acquire as far fewer survive compared to the boxes.
Some scratches to the body, wear to the foot, remarkably good for being 230 years old!
