Georgian Silver & Twisted Baleen Handle Small Toddy Ladle c1820 (Code 2405)
An early 19th century small silver toddy ladle. It has a straight handle with a twist in the baleen part way up. It has a silver cap terminal and a silver ferrule joint to the bowl. The bowl has a worked lip all the way around and the size suggests it was for spirits. There is a partial hallmark inside the bowl with the lion for sterling silver and the makers mark which is rather rubbed.
Normal age related wear. Minor indents to bowl. Hallmarks somewhat rubbed.
