Lincolnshire Cathedral 900th Anniversary Silver Goblet Bishop Gravesend - Boxed (Code 2507)
A solid silver goblet made to commemorate the 900th year of Lincoln cathedral. It was made by AE Jones and has the Birmingham hallmark for 1972. It comes with the original box although the certificate is not present. It does however have the original purchase paperwork which is shown for you, we have blacked out the full address for privacy, but the address is complete. The goblets were numbered from 1072 to 1972 and this is number 1754 which is stamped to the base.
The goblet is based on the Bishop Gravesend chalice found in his grave in the Cathedral.
Goblet in very good order with light scratches inside the bowl. Box with wear and ageing and foxing to the lining.
