Pair of Antique Art Deco Heavy Cut Glass & Brass Mounted Scent Perfume Bottles (code 1554)
A pair of good quality and interesting early 20th century perfume bottles. They are in the Art Deco style and likely date around 1930. The bodies are heavy cut glass with deeply cut panels. They have outer caps in an amber tone and these look to be an early form of plastic, probably cellulose. Underneath these top caps are brass mounts with small brass caps allowing access to the contents. The openings are small to allow careful application of the perfume inside.
Minor period wear, some degradation of the plastic caps with delamination and surface peeling. Minor watermarking to interior bases. One bottle has a flat air bubble trapped under the base (from production) and a tiny air streak which looks like a stress line but is just a tiny air inclusion from production.
