Pair Royal Bonn Secessionist Art Pottery Antique Vases in Green with Tubelining (Code 1319)
A pair of Royal Bonn art pottery vases in the secessionist style. This secessionist movement largely overlapped the Art Nouveau period and was centered around the Austrian region. These vases have an olive green ground and taper gently. The lighter green and out lining is raised and appears to be a piped slip in the manner of Moorcroft, although less prominent. Both pieces have printed and impressed marks to the underside dating them to the early 20th century. Very stylish and now increasingly scarce.
One has some very professional restoration to the rim which is pretty much undetectable aside a small patch of overglaze being scratched. Both fine decoratively as can be seen.
