Royal Worcester Hand Painted Blackberry Fruit Vase by Kitty Blake dated 1932 (Code 2099)

  • £35500

An early 20th century Royal Worcester trumpet shaped vase. This is one of the larger trumpet forms at 7.5 inches and has the gilding at the base and the rim. It is painted with blackberries, leaves and blossoms by Kitty Blake and is signed to the body. There is a richness and presence in Ms Blake's painting of blackberries is not quite equalled by any of the other painters and the reason why her work is so prized. This example dates to 1932 and is a very nice example as you can see in the images.

Very good order, minimal wear.
