Solid Silver Walker & Hall Art Deco Engine Turned Cigarette Case Hallmarked 1933 (Code 1911)

  • £9999

An Art Deco period silver cigarette case by the famous Sheffield maker Walker & Hall. It has a Birmingham hallmark for 1922 and the W&H mark internally. As expected for this prestigious maker it is a high quality example and weighty for it's size. It has engine turned patterns to the front and back and an Art Deco style motif to the front. The interior is gilded and there is the repeat mark to the bottom half of the case. Originally used for cigarettes these items now make excellent card cases.

Light period wear, hinge and latch good and still tight. Elastic strap perished as normal for this period.
