At the top of the locket is a clear Birmingham hallmark with the date letter for 1880. The locket is hinged and opens smoothly to reveal two photo reserves; the left side has its original paper lining and the right side includes a retaining ring and clear acrylic protector. The teardrop‑shaped bale carries a lion stamp for silver.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe locket connects to the book chain via a large period spring ring.
