Vintage 9ct Gold & Black Opal Doublet Ring Hallmarked Sheffield 1995 Size O1/2 (Code A917)

  • £15999

Description

A vintage 9ct gold ring.  It is set with a black opal in a bezel mount with a further rope twist design.  The back is closed but it is most likely to be a doublet with the backing below the opal to enhance the colour.  The shoulders of the band are bifurcated.  The opal shows tones predominantly of blues and greens which catch the light beautifully, there are also indigo and red flashes in the right light and angle.  The inside of the band is fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1995.  It also bears the maker's mark EF Ltd which is Exchange Findings Ltd.

A very elegant piece of vintage jewellery.
