Vintage 9ct Gold & Garnet Ring Unusual Zigurat Form & Textured Band Size O1/2 (Code A584)

Description

A vintage 9ct gold and garnet set ring.  It is of very interesting asymmetric form with a step design leading to a platform created from the garnet.  It looks a little like a zigurat or perhaps an Aztec temple.  The top of the ring also has a bark texture with the plain band being quite a broad form.  The ring is in 9 carat gold and is stamped 9CT and there is also a maker's mark R.J. CO.  There is no date letter for the style suggests that it is probably from the 1970's.  It has quite a substantial gold content and is quite broad at the top being some 13.25mm across so it is a ring that will be easily notice and admired. 

A great piece for those wanting a more unique look and a talking point piece.
