Description
A 1970's vintage 9ct gold ring. It is set with a cluster of lab grown sapphires and white stones. The sapphires are a strong royal blue which come to life in good light. Lab grown stones are identical to natural gems and test the same but they are generally free of impurities and faults unlike mined stones. As they are created in a lab they do not have the environment issues of mined stones or have the worry of social problems making them an increasingly popular choice.
The white stones are likely zircon or quartz, due to the setting we have been unable to test them accurately. The design is a little unusual for the period with the mount being set on top of a concave section of band. This gives an interesting effect with the light beneath the stones. Inside the band is a Birmingham hallmark for 9ct gold with the date letter for 1971. The makers initials are W&G.

Condition: Good for period. Very little wear to the gold. A couple of the white stones have tiny nibbles which you will need a 10x loupe to see. Professionally cleaned, polished and ready to wear or gift.
