Description
A very attractive vintage gold ring with an oval facet cut natural amethyst, approx 1.5 carats. The amethyst has a lovely strong purple colour with reddish flashes in the right light. It is set in a multi pronged mount which is decorative as well as giving good strength to the setting. The shoulders are bifurcated in the horizontal axis and the mount has cut out detail. Inside the band it has an older British 9ct mark and it is likely early post war period.
A very nice piece of vintage jewellery.
The ring will be supplied in a brand new presentation box.
