Description
A very showy 1980's cocktail ring in 14ct gold. This design was released by the Franklin Mint in 1987 and was part of the same series as the crown and firebird rings designed by Faberge. It features natural pear cut sapphires and round cut rubies and diamonds surrounded by a halo of cultured seed pearls. The design is slightly asymmetric with the sapphires being larger on one side than the other. Inside the band are multiple marks including a crown and fleur de lys, a 585 international gold mark and the Franklin Mint marks along with 14K.
The style is that of the Victorian revival and the ring has a very opulent look, bound to draw attention and admiring glances. The band is ribbed to the outside.
