Description
A 1980's vintage 9ct gold ring. It has a central oval facet cut natural sapphire approx 5.5mm x 4mm surrounded by a halo of diamonds and there are also diamonds set in the shoulders. This style was very popular in the 1980's due to the Princess Diana choosing a similar style for her engagement ring. Inside the band are various marks including 375 and DIA 0.10 (for 10 points of diamond). There is also an international hallmark for 9 carat gold which was common for this period. The makers initials are M J.
