Description
A vintage Israeli modernist style brooch or large pendant dating to the 1970's. It is in sterling silver and is marked 925 to the back. It features a large asymmetric eilat stone cabochon. The stone is named after the city in Israel where it was mined and is made up of several minerals. The stone is also known as the King Solomon stone and is the national stone of Israel. It has a pin and roll over safety catch to the reverse. It is marked Israel and BAR to the reverse. It is an artisan made item rather than a mass production piece.
