William Moorcroft Art Deco Period Pomegranate Pattern Tubelined Pottery Vase (Code 1685)
A William Moorcroft Art Deco period vase in the Pomegranate pattern. The vase body is baluster shaped and the decoration is of course tubelined. The pomegranate pattern is perhaps one of the most well known of the Moorcroft designs and has always been in high demand by collectors. This example has a cobalt blue ground and nice ochre tones around the rim. The glaze is very high gloss as you can see from all the reflections in the images. The base has the Moorcroft impressed marks and the blue William Moorcroft period signature mark.
Good order, nice bright glaze. It has the usual crazing and slight glaze flaws from production as expected with these period Moorcroft items.
