Antique Dresden German Porcelain Inkstand & Inkwell with Blue Ribbon Design (Code 1486)
An early 20th century Dresden porcelain inkstand. It is made with the inkwell integral to the stand and only the liner can be removed. It is decorated with blue ribbons outlined with gold dots and flower garlands. The rim is upturned to retain items and the rim is lined in gilt. The mark is to the underside of one of the upturned edges on a glazed area and is the typical mark found during the late 19th and early 20th century periods. The porcelain ink liner fits very well and appears the original. Fine to use and a particularly feminine looking example.
Some wear to the base as expected and minor wear to the gilt. A good example.
